Reform UK Conference 2026: The top energy and environment events
Conference season has begun, and Seahorse is continuing the annual tradition of mapping out the must-see energy and environmental events. This year, we’re covering all major parties, following a local election result that heralded the age of five-party politics.
The May elections put Reform UK in an unprecedented position. However, Nigel Farage’s route to No.10 has been somewhat complicated by a more appealing Labour leader, a crowded right wing, and a standards enquiry that looks to jeopardise the legitimacy Farage sought through the Clacton by-election.
This year’s agenda balances Reform’s exploration of nature protection policies with their established scepticism of Net-Zero, reflecting their desire to target rural communities whilst providing a distinct alternative on energy policy to other major parties.

Thursday 3rd September
Event: 11:00-12:30, Energy Reception. With speakers including Reform UK’s Deputy Leader and Energy Spokesperson Richard Tice MP and Elizabeth de Jone of Fuels Industry, the Adam Smith Institute and Fuels Industry UK will host a morning reception on UK fuel resilience and the role of domestic manufacturing therein.

Event: 12:30 - 13:45, Richard Tice MP: Build Britain, Build. Grow Britain, Grow.Keynote speech from Reform’s Deputy Leader and Energy Spokesperson.

Event: 14:00-15:00, The Price of Power. The Adam Smith Institute and Cadent Gas host a panel with energy spokesperson Richard Tice to discuss whether the UK's green energy ambitions are compatible with reliable, affordable electricity, and what a genuinely market-driven approach to clean energy would look like.

Friday 4th September
Event: 10:30 - 12:00, Great British Business Council: Lets get rid of Net Zero Nonsense, we need more energy now!Richard Tice MP, Lord Monckton, Catherine McBride OBE, and David Turver discuss how Net Zero is impacting the UK economy and why the EU reset could increase this impact.

Event: 13:00-14:00, In Conversation with Danny Kruger. Alex Thomas, Executive Director of the Institute for Government sits down for a conversation with the man tasked with leading Reform’s preparations for Government.

Event: 13:00-14:30, Can nature help Reform build a lasting coalition? More in Common will examine fresh public-opinion insights to explore whether nature could support Reform unite its voters, given the strong attachment to Britain’s countryside, farmland and national landscapes they express. The session will also seek to answer whether the party can credibly champion nature while stepping back from net zero.

Event: 15:30-15:50, Keynote Speech: Richard Tice, Deputy Leader of Reform UK. The party’s Deputy Leader and Energy Spokesperson Richard Tice MP delivers his keynote speech.

Event: 19:00-20:30, Countryside Alliance: The Great Rural Meet. Countryside Alliance will be hosting a drinks reception to highlight the importance of the countryside and its communities and to discuss Reform's plans for rural areas and communities. Speakers include Richard Tice MP, James Evans (Reform UK MS) and Tim Bonner (CEO of Countryside Alliance).

Event: 21:00-22:00, The Big Blue Reception: Reforming Britain's Waters and Coastal Communities. A drinks reception hosted by Friends of the Ocean, this event will see Richard Tice MP call for a bold new vision for UK seas - one that rebuilds a thriving British fishing industry, reverses decades of decline in coastal towns, and restores waters.

Saturday 5th September
Event: 10:30-12:00, The NFU's Great British Brunch. The National Farmers Union is back with its breakfast networking event; last year's event saw Vice-President Rachel Hallow address food security and the importance of food standards.

Event: 13:15-14:15, Home First: how to make energy, housing and infrastructure work for ordinary Britain. This panel event will see Danny Kruger MP, Reform UK Councillor Sean Matthews and think tank Create Streets debate practical reforms that make energy, housing and infrastructure work for ordinary Britain.
